You frantically search for any way out. Then, you find it: a link. A
promise of a way to undo the damage, a tool called "RansomFix".
It claims it can remove the trojans, stop the miner, and fully restore
your files.
You click the link. You download the file.
The website looks sketchy, but you’re desperate. The page has a countdown clock ticking down to "recovery time". You start the decryption process.
"Decrypting... please wait... this could take a while."
Suddenly, your computer starts lagging. Your screen starts flickering.
Another pop-up appears.
A message that reads:
"ERROR: SYSTEM FAILURE. RESTART REQUIRED. PAY $50 FOR FIX."
The countdown continues. You panic. You’re at the mercy of this system. Everything is going wrong.
